Caracalla, 198-217. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.25 g, 6 h), Rome, 201-206. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG Laureate and draped bust of Caracalla to right, seen from behind. Rev. RECTOR ORBIS Caracalla, as Sol, standing front, head to left and nude but for cloak, holding globe in his right hand and inverted spear in his left. BMC 289. Cohen 546 var. (RECTORI). RIC 14. Beautifully toned. Good very fine.
